Following the successful re-formation of an Optimist Junior sailing fleet in 2011, Carlingford Sailing Club is launching the 2012 season of their Optimist Junior Sailing Programme with an open day on Sat 3rd March at 3pm in the club house.
The aim of the day is to explain the Optimist dinghy and the programme to prospective members and to obtain committments for new dinghys and membership for the 2012 programme. Jim Slater will be in attendance along with parents and existing junior sailors.
A new wooden Optimist with mainsail, trolley and ALL necessary accessories can be purchased for €500 (no extras). Boats will be available for painting and varnishing in April and we plan to launch on the water in May.
